Project Scope
InMod is an online e-commerce company that offers mid-high-tier priced modern furniture focusing on Mid-century styles. Since launching its site, the brand has collaborated with other small design studios to create exclusive designs for their in-house brands: Signature and Origins, in addition to carrying third-party brands.
As a Digital Designer, I contributed to the brand's D2C and B2B sides by creating graphics content, improving the sign-up process on the landing page, and creating a new landing page for a payment plan option.
⏲️ Timeline: May 2019 - January 2020 | 🎩 Role: Solo Digital Designer
Promoting products with User Generated content
14% CRV
Situation: While most people were happy with the quality of the products, 34% of customers complained about the color mismatch. In addition, most people wanted a tailored experience because they didn't know how to put a room together or wanted/to have time to create Pinterest boards.
Solution: Partner with lifestyle influencers on giveaways to generate UGC content that can be used on different platforms to promote products and the brand.
Results: Overall, we saw an average +64% increase in page impressions. Conversion rates, specifically, saw a +14% improvement from these partnerships.
CUSTOM-DESIGNED Landing Page
11% CVR
Situation: Buying high-ticket items can be stressful for most people, but they are more likely to complete their order if finance options with zero-interest payment options are available. InMod partnered with Affirm Financing to offer to finance options, and a new landing page was required.
Solution: Created design to align with the current brand style and educate the target audience on how to get financing works. I designed the page to keep users on the landing page vs. driving them to Affirm.
Results: The new landing page saw a +11% CVR lift period-over-period and +12% CVR lift compared to the same time frame last year (9/19-12/19). The campaigns drove 45 more calls.
Trade Program
InMod has partnerships with over 1,000+ interior designers and architecture studios. Projects can vary from large commercial to small residential scale projects. Loyal designers have often referred InMod as the industry's best-kept secret. The trade programs made up 18% of the company's total revenue in 2018, and they predict a higher growth potential in the future as well.
Current Sign-up Process
The current trade homepage needs an updated UI, program details, and a sign-up form. These updates would relieve the support team from receiving a high volume of calls from prospective members about the program. Plus, the current sign-up process can only be completed by email or phone and processed manually by an associate. The entire process can take 5-25 minutes from start to end and is limited to a timeframe because an online option isn't available.
The updates to the trade program page will allow prospective members to:
✅ Sign up for the program from anywhere, at anytime
✅ Increase brand credibility and inspire others by showing projects from current members
✅ Provide valuable clarity about the program without needing to call customer service
✅ Advertise perks from the trade program that aren't shown anywhere on the website
More details to come.
